Tech Buzz

"I had this guy leave me a voicemail at work, so I called him at home, and then he emailed me to my BlackBerry, and so I texted to his cell, and now you just have to go around checking all these different portals just to get rejected by seven different technologies. It’s exhausting!"

So this is from the movie He's Just Not That Into You, and I gotta say, that has to be hit-it-right-on-the-head statement EVER! I like to think that communication these days is purely accesible, but if you think about it, its another burden to add to another stressful day.

When I first met my BF he did not text worth a dime. Literally. Perhaps I was the heavy influence that somehow managed to get him to convert to unlimited texting. Haha. OR maybe it's because once I texted the crap out of his phone, he realized that it was much simpler than calling and having a 5 second conversation that can run up his minutes. Anyway, back when my parents met they didn't have the technological luxuries that our generation does, but come to think of it- it may have been for the best.

Think about it, back then (in my parents generation) couples/people/parents, etc, had to suck ot up and basically go all day without being able to text/email/IM/ or whatever, everyone. They did not have the internet addiction flowing through the veins of their lives. People stayed together. Married for 30 + years. These days, if your married for 10, you are adulated by your peers. Really? 10?
Darlings, if you really expect "till death do you part" then 10 years is nothing. Unless of course you die. Wich would be tragic. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

These days people are having affairs EVERYWHERE. And technology is a huge catalyst in this. People talk all day over IM or TEXT or EMAIL, and before you know it, your emotionally cheating (That is a topic I will discuss later) yikes. Ya know, my parents never had that chance, and it makes me wonder if theirs is true love, or they are still together due to the LACK of that "opportunity."

Good grief I hardly make any sense. And I don't even think I have a point. Lol. ah well.
